Rosie Recommends
Welcome to Rosie Recommends, where I share products that I and my dogs love and think you might love too!
With my canine enrichment obsession, I have bought practically every toy available on the market, and, having observed my own dogs as well as working with other dogs, have lots of thoughts on which items are worth the spend, and which to avoid! My dogs have also tried plenty of different food to find those that work for them, and we’ve tried lots of different equipment too.
Below are some of our favourites!
SpiritDog
Steffi and the team have an amazing online learning dog training platform based on positive reinforcement, which is a brilliant resource for dog guardians. I have completed the Tackling Reactivity bundle and found it really beneficial, in particular for Honey, who can be quite “spicy”!
Tug-E-Nuff
UK-based training toy company that has some brilliant, high-quality products like the Powerball bungee, the Clam and some beautiful tug toys. They come with a 45-day return window and having used a few of their products, I can attest to their quality. They also have some great online resources on how to introduce play to your dog and how to get the most out of their toys.
They’ve kindly given me a discount code – enter ALLABOUTENRICHMENT at the checkout and receive a 10% discount off your order!
Sniffer Paws NI mantrailing
Kingsley loves mantrailing, as do I! It’s one of the few dog sports that is truly accessible to dogs of all ages, breeds and abilities. As well as being hugely enriching for the dogs trailing, it’s also a great social activity for the human end of the long line!
We trail with the amazing Laura at Sniffer Paws NI – if you book a session with her, enter code ROSIE10 at the checkout for 10% off!
My Anxious Dog
Offering an award-winning range of nervous dog harnesses, leads, vests, lead covers & more, helping reactive, nervous or anxious dogs get the space they need on walks. Also raising awareness on #DogsInYellow day on 20th March!

Pure Pet Food
Kingsley's favourite food, formulated for his sensitive tummy. He really enjoys it and the consistency is great for adding to Toppls, licking mats etc. Follow the link below to get a discount off your order!
Westpaw Toppl
This is an absolute favourite of Kingley’s for meal time – he loves to parade it around the house and even when he’s finished his dinner will retire to the sofa with it to give it a good and thorough inspection! Very durable material and the sizing is great. They can be frozen if that is your dog’s preference for a longer-lasting experience.
Outward Hound Hide A Squirrel
Kingsley absolutely loves this toy! He loves rooting around in the trunk to pull out the squirrels, and they have squeakers as well! This is really good quality and comesi n a variety of sizes. You can buy extra squirrels if needed!
Pickpocket Foragers
Loads of really lovely crafted foraging items. Honey is a particular fan of the foraging pouches and the caterpillar! These are made of high-quality fleece meaning they can be machine-washed as well, and the print can be customised. They have recently launched a foraging bag which I intend to get for Honey soon as I think she’d love it (and she’d look very cute getting stuck into some snuffling!)
Whimzees rice bones
A godsend as Honey has IBD and can’t have meat or dairy, which eliminates virtually all long-lasting chews. She loves these, and they give her hours of enjoyment! As she’s so small, I tend to cut them in half for her.
Nina Ottoson Outward Hound Challenge Slider Interactive Treat Puzzle Toy
This is a great, long-lasting activity for Honey. She really enjoys using her paws, so this is a really good one for her and she loves to see me bring it out of the cupboard for play time!
I tend to put her kibble in about half of the little spaces so she has to work a little harder to get the food – she really enjoys this!
